Romans 12:1-2

"Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will."

Understanding Paul's Message

Paul's words in Romans 12:1-2 are a powerful call to action for Christians. He urges believers to present their bodies as a living sacrifice, which means living a life that is holy and pleasing to God. This is not about earning salvation through works; salvation comes through faith in Jesus Christ, who died for our sins. Once we are saved, our response should be to live a life of gratitude and service, reflecting God's love through our actions.

Paul also emphasizes the importance of transforming our minds. The "ways of this world" often tempt us with material desires—money, status, and possessions. But Paul encourages us to renew our minds, focusing on God's will instead. This transformation helps us discern and follow God's perfect plan for our lives.

Blessedtimony: A Journey of Faith and Transformation

My Dreams and Reality

Growing up, I dreamed of playing in the NFL or owning a business. My NFL aspirations ended after high school, largely due to my lack of focus on football. My backup plan was to become an entrepreneur, with dreams of owning either a nightclub or a daycare center. These dreams were inspired by my love for parties and a brief stint working at a local daycare during high school.

However, my path took a different turn when I decided to join the United States Air Force. This decision was driven by my need to provide for my child and my uncertainty about the feasibility of owning a business. As I pursued a bachelor's degree in business, the challenging courses made me question my ability to handle the responsibilities of entrepreneurship. Consequently, I shifted my focus to a master's degree in adult education, fueled by my passion for teaching and mentoring.

Discovering My True Calling

My passion for teaching led me to volunteer as an AFROTC instructor at the University of Georgia. Around this time, I started listening to motivational speakers like Eric Thomas and Billy Alsbrooks. They spoke about the power of mindset and the importance of aligning one's thoughts with God's teachings. Inspired by their messages, I decided to change my mindset, especially concerning my struggle with weight loss.

In the military, maintaining a certain waist measurement is crucial for passing the physical fitness test. Despite my efforts, I couldn't reduce my waist size below 36 inches. Adopting a positive mindset, influenced by biblical teachings, I told myself, "I can do it, I must do it, and I will do it." This change in attitude helped me lose weight and achieve my fitness goals

A Thirst for Christ

This transformation extended beyond fitness. I began to see how the Bible's teachings applied to various aspects of my life. Eric Thomas and Billy Alsbrooks' messages, grounded in Scripture, deepened my faith in Christ. As I grew closer to God, I realized that He had a plan for me, one that involved teaching and sharing His word.

This newfound confidence led me to start Blessedtimony, a business dedicated to sharing testimonies of God's goodness. I also fulfilled another lifelong dream by writing a book. By aligning my desires with God's will, I discovered that I could achieve things I once thought impossible.

Share Your Blessedtimony

God's plan for us is to share His word and our personal testimonies of His goodness. In Mark 5, Jesus tells the man he delivered from demons to go home and tell others about the mercy he received. We are called to do the same.

Please share your experiences in the comments below. How have your thoughts and mindset affected your life? Positive thinking, grounded in faith, leads to positive outcomes. Seek God's will, believe in His plan for you, and share your Blessedtimony when you witness the amazing results. Let's inspire each other and spread the word of God's goodness!
