About

What We Believe

We believe the Bible is God's word, and that sharing testimonies can change lives - every Christian should be ready and willing to share theirs!

The Bible is the Word of God, written by human, but supernaturally inspired and authoritative for everyone. 2 Timothy 3:16, Romans 3:2, Proverbs 30:5-6
God exists eternally in the three persons of the Trinity: The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit, and that these three are one God. Genesis 1:26, Matthew 28:18-20, 2 Corinthians 13:14, 2 Corinthians 1:21-22, John 10:30
God the Heavenly Father is great: He is all powerful, all knowing, ever present, unchanging, completely worthy of our trust, and above all, holy. It is in Him that we live, move and exist. He is our father. He is loving, compassionate, and faithful to His people and His promises. God is the absolute and sole creator of the universe, and that creation was caused by His divine decree and wondrous design, not by a random evolutionary process. Genesis 1:1, John 1:1-, Exodus 3:14, Psalm 11:4-7
Jesus Christ is completely human but, at the same time, completely God. He is the only plan for bringing people who are far from God back into a right relationship with God. He lived a perfect life, so that He could be a substitution for us in satisfying God’s demands for perfection. He defeated death in His resurrection so that we could have life. Isaiah 7:14, Matthew 1:18-23, Colossians 1:12-16
The Holy Spirit’s presence assures us of our relationship with Christ. He guides believers into all truth and exalts Christ. He convicts people of their sin, God’s righteousness, and the coming judgment. He comforts us, gives us spiritual gifts, and makes us more like Christ. Genesis 1:2, Acts 1:5, Galatians 5:22-26
The church is a local community of believers unified through faith in Christ. It is committed to the teachings of Christ and obeying all of his commands, and it seeks to bring the gospel (good news) to the world. The church works together in love and unity, intent on the ultimate purpose of glorifying Christ. Acts 2:41-47, Ephesians 1:22-23; 2:19-22; Romans 12:4-5
We believe that God, by His choice and because of His love for mankind, sent Christ into the world to save sinners. The blood of Jesus Christ, shed on the cross, provides the only way of salvation through the forgiveness of sin. Salvation occurs when people place their faith in the death and resurrection of Christ as sufficient payment for their sin. Salvation is a gift given through the grace of God, and it cannot be earned through our own efforts. Isaiah 53:5-6, Matthew 1:21, John 3:16, Romans 6:23, Ephesians 2:8
Baptism is a symbolic act to publicly profess one’s salvation. Matthew 28:19, Acts 2:38, 1 Corinthians 12:13, Mark 16:16, Act 16:31-33
Prayer is our ability to communicate with God. Through Jesus’ salvation, we no longer need an intercessor to go between God and us; we can address Him directly. We believe that no monumental thing can be done without prayer preceding it and continuing through it. 1 John 5:14, Ephesians 6:18, Mark 11:24, Matthew 5:44
It should be the goal of every Christian to grow in spiritual maturity through obedience to God’s word and the leading of the Holy Spirit. Grace is not a pass to keep sinning! Galatians 5:13, Ephesians 4:15, 1 Peter 2:2, 1 Peter 3:18
Christian marriage is a sacred institution ordained of God for the happiness of mankind and the propagation of the race. It is the spiritual and physical union of one man and one woman; this is the only legitimate sexual relationship and, according to the scriptural ideal, is to be broken only by death. Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:4-6, Ephesians 5:31
Sharing your testimony with others is a must for all Christians. There is power in your Testimony. We are blessed by God so we can be a blessing to others. This will show God’s glory and others will want to come to know Him! 1 John 5:11, Mark 5:19, Psalm 22:22, Psalm 66:16, Psalm 35:28, 1 John 1:2-3, Daniel 4:2, 1 Thessalonians 5:11, Hebrews 10:24-25, 2 Timothy 1:8, Matthew 10:32, Galatians 6:14, 1 Corinthians 10:31, Revelation 12:11
RICO LANE

MEET THE FOUNDER OF BLESSEDTIMONY

Rico Lane's journey is one of dedication, resilience, and unwavering faith. With over 20 years of service as a highly decorated Commissioned Officer and a Master’s Degree in Adult Education, Rico has faced many challenges, including three deployments in support of "Operation Iraqi Freedom." While these experiences initially made it difficult for him to maintain a relationship with Jesus Christ, he ultimately found his faith and developed a passion for helping others do the same.

Despite the hardships, Rico's commitment to mentoring, coaching, teaching, and writing has never faltered. During his pursuit of a graduate degree, he discovered the importance of creating a learning environment that motivates and engages learners. He realized that people learn differently and that providing examples helps them better understand complex information.

Driven by what he believes to be a divine calling from God, Rico created "Blessedtimony." This platform is designed to help people gain a deeper understanding of the Bible and God through the sharing of personal blessings and testimonies. Rico is committed to the "Great Commission" (Matthew 28:19-20) and envisions Blessedtimony as a vessel to disciple and make disciples, fostering a community where everyone can learn and grow in their faith.

Join Rico on this transformative journey, and discover the power of sharing your own Bessedtestimony. Together, we can inspire, uplift, and bring people closer to God.
